Have you ever stopped to look around at your life and realized nothing is how you want it?
Turning thirty has a way of making you take a good, hard look at your life. And I think we all know what any sensible adult does in that situation: tequila shots. Lots of them.
It’s okay, though, because I’ve finally escaped my tiny New Zealand home town and my negative parents. And New York is better than my wildest fantasies.
So is Michael, the sexy single dad who lives in the apartment upstairs. And he’s featuring in my fantasies more and more—even if he’s a grump and I only ever seem to make a dork of myself in front of him. Ah well, a girl can dream.
Anyway, I’ve got a writing career to build, and writing about being single is fun. If that means swearing off men for a bit, that’s fine. I can totally do that. It’s just a tiny crush.
Besides… happily ever afters aren’t real. Are they?

My Review:
It’s my turn on the blog tour today for Jen’s debut book and I’d just like to say a quick thank you to Jen for writing such a lovely book and letting my read and review it. And also thank you Kira for asking me if I wanted to read it, how can I say no to those kind of offers?
Right now onto my review, firstly it was describing New York amazing and it was making me able to picture/imagine travel there and walk around all the places Alex experienced for the first times.
The bits I enjoyed reading the most about was where Alex lived, it wasn't like a typical story where Alex was a confident woman who landed in New York with a perfect life sorted. In fact it was a drunken accident that lead to her booking a flight to New York and renting an apartment which didn’t exist๐
I also loved the parts that were set at the log cabin during the winter, I could just picture that snuggly places and the non snuggly parts ๐
I could picture this a movie or even a TV series which I would 100% be one of the first viewers!
This book came out yesterday, so here is the link to buy it. What are you waiting for!
